Saturday, August 10, 2019

Boston, MA – Non-profit organization Rooted in Restoration, invites Boston and its surrounding communities to attend its first “Rise Up” community event on Saturday, August 10th at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center on 1350 Tremont Street, Roxbury Crossing, MA. Participants can register online.

“Rise Up”, sponsored by Restoration City Church and various organizations throughout the city, will benefit a number of individuals and families of the community, many whom often feel marginalized and hopeless. Registration for the event is free. All participants will receive a number of services including health and dental screening check-ups, haircuts, school supplies, backpacks and more! They will also receive information connecting them to resources in the areas of mental wellness, health promotions, education, job readiness and housing.

The event starts at 1:00 PM, with participant registration starting at the same time. Once you arrive, follow the signs and balloons to registration and we will usher you from there! There will be various vendors and sections ready to serve you and your family. Expect to have a wonderful time!

“We are so excited to partner with Rooted in Restoration”, said Pastor Davie Hernandez “In a climate filled with pain, anger and division, we must bring the greatest of resources to bear, that resource is each other. Our neighbors, our co-workers, our friends and our family. We must work to restore our city.”
